About

A New Yorker by birth, my addiction to all things francais has sent my life in all sorts of unexpected directions. A year studying in Strasbourg left me with my very own Frenchman, and an itch to wander has brought us to Paris, San Francisco, NYC, and as of November 2012 – Chicago!

I live in English by day and French by night… or rather some incomprehensible blend of the two. I spend most of my free time pretending I’m still in France by scouring whatever city I happen to be in for a taste of the city of lights.  This blog is meant to capture my successes (and failures), as well as share occasional musings on french culture and the challenges and triumphs of  navigating a franco-american relationship.

Thanks for reading  and if you happen to find yourself here, please feel free to introduce yourself, share ideas, or just say hello!

    Hi Megan,

I stumbled upon your blog and I must say I love it. I’m a closet Francophile and a former (and forever) New Yorker. I can’t wait to read about your adventures!

Hi Anna – thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll keep checking in as this grows, and would love to hear about some of your favorite French spots in NY!
